How to type malayalam in photoshop

There are so many ways to type malayalam in photoshop (Method 1: using charmap)

Step1: Goto Start/run -> Type ‘charmap’ and press enter.
Step2: Select any malayalam font, and select the letters one by one. When completed, copy  it. 

 Better use MTW TT Karthika or ML TT Karthika Font........


Step 3: Open photoshop --> select the font from the drop down which you have used to type in character map



Step 4: Paste the copied word..... 



Done..............

      ഹായ് ഞാൻ വിന്ഡോസ് 8.1 ആണ് യൂസ് ചെയ്യുന്നത് ഞാൻ ഫോട്ടോഷോപ്പിൽ മലയാളം ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്യാൻ കാരക്ടർ മാപ് ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് . അതിൽ ണ്ട എന്ന അക്ഷരം മാത്രം ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുന്നില്ല ഇതിനു എന്തെങ്കിലും പരിഹാരം ഉണ്ടോ..??

    any other method for typing malayalam just like pagemaker...charmap trick is not good for long matters..

      yes. download varamozhi software from google. You can type long malayalam sentences and then paste in photoshop. Better use MLW-TTKarthika or ML-TTKarthika font.

      Dear friend, use MLW-TTKarthika font in character map
      (run->charmap) then select each letters; then copy; select MLW-TTKarthika font in photoshop and paste.

    Hi, when i try to write കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്‍, i can't write the end one " ള്‍ ". The word appearing on the photoshop is, after pasted it, like " കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള് ". Can you please help.

    i have most of malayalam fonts (including ML TT KARTHIKA), i can see the letter "ണ്ട" but cant pick in character map, when i select that letter a small space added for that letter, even when i copy that word to photoshop, the same happens there, no "ണ്ട" :(

    Hi,

    i have a word Doc file in malayalam. I need to copy the malayalam contents to photoshop how to do this.The font used is karthika in doc file.biy when i paste in photoshop some of the letters get reversed like "ENTE" എന്റെ

    Hello, I can't type the letter 'nda'(the last word of 'chenda') in photoshop. I tried character map as well as ISM Publisher. The letter can be typed in pagemaker. But cannot paste it in photoshop. Can you please help me to solve this problem?

    create the images
    type in varamozhi copy
    open image in picasa editor paste
    you can type "nda"/"nTa"

    Things are much simpler than this:
    1. Download and install "Kartika" and "ML-TTIndulekhaNormal" fonts in your windows.
    2. Install Google input tools Malayalam and configure.
    3. Download Font Converter from
    http://www.4shared.com/file/vsp8YpnYce/Setup.html
    Give input using Google input tools and press convert..! Now copy the output to Photoshop and apply any ML-TT font..!! Its so faast and easy..!! 25+ fonts are supported.
